Assemblea Generale dell’Unità Scientifica Centrale C-Computing – USC-C GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Questo è il 3.o annuncio della seconda Assemblea Generale dell’Unità Scientifica Centrale C-Computing dell’INAF (USC C-Computing), recentemente istituita.

Si intende principalmente evidenziare che la scadenza per l’invio
degli abstract è stata ora spostata al:

22 Febbraio 2026.

Il congresso si terrà dal 9 al 13 marzo 2026 presso il SAVOIA Excelsior Palace, in riva al mare nel centro di Trieste. Si prega di notare che il termine per la disponibilità garantita e il prezzo concordato delle camere presso la sede del congresso è già scaduto. Ora è possibile prenotare l’alloggio direttamente con il Savoia Palace al prezzo di mercato o cercare un alloggio alternativo. Trieste offre diverse opzioni e il sito dedicato all’evento (vedi sotto) riporta altri suggerimenti.

Le motivazioni dell’incontro, a chi è rivolto, l’elenco dei tutorial e delle sessioni parallele, il modulo per inviare abstract, nonché i dettagli di viaggio, alloggio e logistica, sono tutti riportati a questo sito, raggiungibile anche dal sito della USC-C Computing.

L’assemblea offrirà una grande opportunità per incontrare tutte le persone INAF coinvolte nelle varie tematiche legate ai dati e alle tecnologie informatiche, così come tutte le persone INAF coinvolte nella progettazione, distribuzione, gestione e supporto delle infrastrutture, degli strumenti e dei servizi digitali per tutto il personale delle diverse strutture INAF. 

Sono altresì in programma parecchi corsi di formazione.

sessioni Parallele

Secondo consolidata tradizione, l’assemblea ospiterà anche una serie di sessioni parallele dedicate al personale amministrativo, focalizzate su temi organizzativi, di bilancio, e in generale sulla digitalizzazione delle pubbliche amministrazioni e sulle sfide legate allo sviluppo di nuovi sistemi di gestione, e all’utilizzo di quelli già acquisiti.

spese e costi

Grazie al sostegno dell’USC-C, non è prevista alcuna quota di iscrizione per il personale INAF, che dovrà ovviamente farsi carico del costo del viaggio e di tutti gli altri costi (vedi sito).

This is the third announcement of the second General Assembly of the INAF Central Scientific Unit-C Computing (USC-C).

It is primarily meant to highlight that the deadline for submitting abstracts has now been delayed to:

The meeting will take place from the 9th to the 13th of March 2026, at the SAVOIA Excelsior Palace in the seashore of Trieste city centre. Please note that the deadline for the ensured availability at an agreed price of the rooms at the venue of the congress has now already passed. Of course, you can now book the accommodation directly with the Savoia Palace at the market price or check for an alternate accommodation. Trieste offers several options and the website devoted to the event (see below) reports other suggestions.

The rationale of the meeting, whom that is addressed to, the list of the tutorials and of the parallel sessions, the form to submit abstracts for contributed talks, as well as the travel, accommodation and logistic details, are all reported at this website, also linked from the website of the USC-C Computing unit, 

event main focus

The Assembly will offer a great opportunity to meet all INAF people involved in the various themes connected to the data and computing technologies, as well as all INAF people involved in the design, deployment, management and support of the digital infrastructures, tools and services for the whole personnel in the various INAF structures.
 Several tutorials are also scheduled.

Parallel sessions

As positively experienced several times in the past, the Assembly will also host a series of parallel sessions dedicated to the administrative staff, focused on organizational topics, budgeting, and in general on the digitalization of public administrations and on the challenges related to the development of new management systems, and the use of those already acquired.

costs and fees

Thanks to the support of the USC-C, there is no registration fee. The participants will obviously have to take care of the cost of the travel and all the other costs (see the website).
