IBM Openpower: The OpenPOWER Foundation, launched as the “OpenPOWER Consortium” on August 6, 2013, is a collaborative effort centered on Power ISA-based products, spearheaded by IBM. IBM’s primary objective is to promote openness in the technology ecosystem surrounding their Power Architecture products. This initiative includes the release of processor specifications, firmware, and software under a permissive license. Additionally, IBM and its partners adopt a collaborative development approach to drive innovation and progress within the ecosystem.
